The 11 Word Branding and Marketing Seminar
The 11 Word Branding and Marketing Seminar
I can teach you about Branding and Marketing in 11 words. I am not at all suggesting that these 11 words are all that you need.
There are lots and lots of great books out there on both topics. Right now, I myself am reading Brand Aid the second edition, by Brad Vanauken and if you have never read Juicing the Orange, do so! It is an amazing book.
It has been my experience that many of my clients really have no idea what branding or marketing is and why they matter so much to the success of their endeavor.
This 11 word seminar is a great first step to getting your arms around these very important concepts.
Let these 11 words inspire you to begin learning more about branding and marketing. Perhaps you might even be inspired to pick up a book on branding or a book on marketing.
Let’s start with these 5 words —
Your Brand Is Your Story
Branding can be that simple. Your brand is your story.
Those are 5 words that you need to memorize and digest.
Please note — I said simple, not easy. Many of my clients don’t really know their own story. I often get hired to help people discern their brand story. It takes effort to discern your story.
The beauty of stories is that if you tell them, they will get repeated by your passionate fans. If you don’t know your story, you can’t tell it. If you don’t tell your story, it won’t get repeated.
Let me say that again – If you don’t know your brand story, you can’t tell it. If you don’t tell it, your passionate fans can’t repeat it and pass it on.
As you can see knowing your brand story is essential.
Again – these 5 words are a first step. Once you know that your brand is your story, you can get to know what your brand story is so that you can begin sharing the parts of it that are both authentic and compelling.
Good stories, the ones that get repeated, are both authentic and compelling.
Let’s move on the next 6 words in our 11 word branding and marketing seminar —
Marketing is Tastefully Telling Your Story
That’s about as simple a definition as I can come up with for marketing.
Marketing is tastefully telling your story – just 6 words, but they pack quite a punch.
Learn these 6 words and make sure that you are tastefully telling your story because that is what marketing is.
By the way, most people don’t suck at the tastefully part, they suck at the telling part. I can’t tell you how many people and companies I come across who are trying to grow their enterprise who don’t tell their story. If you don’t tell your story, you will fail. Period. I promise.
That’s it!
I am Steven Shomler and I can help you grow your brand/idea/business/dream/startup from a Spark to a Bonfire!
